I was at AGPNY today, and dropped off a doll at the hospital.
I requested that they DO NOT replace the neck strings... please make a note... please make sure... please... GOT IT???!!!

And then the nice lady at the desk tells me: "don't worry, they are not doing the plastic ties any more at the hospital, people did not like them."
So I asked for confirmation, and another of the ladies at the hospital desk confirmed that the plastic ties are being phased out!!!!

    Yipee!!!! They listened!!!
    (crosses fingers and waits!!!)

That's great news. I just received one back from the hospital last week and she had the plastic tie!! I wasn't happy about it, but, she's for my young niece and I won't worry about the ties being in her way.
Thanks for sharing the great news.

I don't understand why they did plastic ties in the hospital anyway? Was it really that hard to get another string?

Horray (jumps up and down), I wonder if we will be able to get replacement ties now. I had to buy some sturdy yarn from joannes for my last girl.

Oh what great news!! I've been so disappointed with the direction Mattel's been taking Ag lately, with the more Barbie-like products and cheaper plastic accessories. But this makes me so happy, at least some things are looking up!
